Type CAI-103 is single coil with rubber bellow mainly for use in wast water treatment plants in the sewage applications. The rubber bellow protects the shaft / sleeve from fretting. The bellows is not subjected to any torsional stress. Torque transmission is through the spring and spring holder. Self-aligning features accommodate abnormal shaft runout and primary sealing wear. The single coil spring will avoid effluent particles.
